Africa-Press – Angola. The oil company Chevron this Saturday delivered a donation of around 53 tons of food products from the basic food basket to 12 charities that affect the Catholic and Evangelical Churches in the region.

In a press note, it indicates that the donation aims to contribute to charities to mitigate the lack of basic foodstuffs, improving the diet of the children they host.

About 600 orphans, abandoned children and others from underprivileged families who are welcomed, protected and tutored by the religious institutions will directly benefit from this donation.

Among the institutions benefited are the Bethany Community, Nazaré Community, Sisters of Mary Immaculate, S. José de Cluny Women’s Mission in Cabinda, Teresian Sisters Community of Malembo, Lourenço Amadeu, S. Tiago Maior Lândana, S. José Cluny Women’s Mission of Cacongo, Men’s Mission Parish of Santo António de Belize, Mercenary Sisters of Charity Community of Lúcula-Zenze, Men’s Mission of Lucula-Zenze, and Internato Evangélico do Caio.

CABGOC has been the branch operator in the Offshore of Angola for over 65 years, during which time it has developed interventions of a social nature in areas such as health, education and economic development.
