Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to Panama, Cândida Teixeira, this Saturday transmitted to local businessmen information on the ongoing business environment in Angola.
During a meeting at the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of this country, which connects Central and South America, the Angolan diplomat emphasized the establishment of new principles and general bases for private investment, which establishes benefits and facilities for investors and access criteria, as well as the rights, duties and guarantees of private investors.
The Angolan ambassador to Cuba and the Dominican Republic has as one of the priority points on her agenda in Panama an offensive with state and private institutions to leverage and strengthen ties of cooperation between the two states.
For his part, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture of Panama, Adolfo Fabregas, expressed his interest in a more fruitful cooperation with Angola and conveyed his desire to have, in March 2024, the year with an Angolan representation at Expocomer , one of the most prestigious trade events in the region that takes place every year.

The diplomat, who is accompanied by the Defense Attaché, Tomás Imperial, and the first secretary, Hélio dos Santos, also visited two of the most prestigious universities in Panama. These are the specialized University of the Americas, UDELAS, and Tecnológica de Panamá. The last one has two Angolan students in its student body.
In both institutions, the parties expressed their interest in promoting the exchange of students and professors from Angola and Panama.
