Africa-Press – Angola. The Administration of Viana, in Luanda, has 4,800 vacancies available to accommodate street vendors and reorganize trade in this district, announced this Thursday, the municipal director of trade and integrated development, António Kiala.

Speaking to the press, at the end of a meeting with representatives of political parties on the problem of disorderly sales and noise pollution in the locality, the official said that the administration is registering traders to define the role of each one.

According to the source, these spaces are available in the markets at kilometers 30, 14 A and B, as well as Boa Esperança.

On the occasion, the representative of the FNLA, Bumba Paiva, referred that there must be awareness and mobilization of the population in order to reduce illegal sales in the municipality.

The politician said, on the other hand, that noise pollution should be seen as a public health problem and cause of diseases such as depression and insomnia.

For the MPLA, Euclides Faria da Costa stressed that this party has its own directives on the positioning of its militants in society, but called for an improvement in communication between the administration and the citizens.

The leader acknowledged the need to improve traffic regulation.

Savio Nhany, municipal secretary of Unita in Viana, called for the population’s awareness to solve the traffic problem.

As for ordering trade, the politician said that the administration needs to do more to improve the living conditions of the population, indicating proper places for sale.

In turn, the director of the Viana Tourism and Culture office, Bessa Rodrigues, announced that a campaign would soon be carried out to reorganize informal sales, which will put an end to the existing chaos in this district, having appealed for the support of the churches.
