On the occasion, the head of LS Republicano, Fernando Republicano, thanked the producer for choosing to hold the event and promised several surprises.
“It is a great satisfaction. We are going to start working now for the success of the event, which will surely attract thousands of admirers of Angolan music and dozens of artists, both national and foreign, so we promise many surprises”, he stressed.
In turn, the director of the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Francisco Ventura, informed that the Festi-Cuanza Sul will be held annually and in rotation in the 12 municipalities.
He guaranteed that, in this 1st edition, artists from all regions of the province will participate, with a view to promoting local musicians, and called on singers to prepare diligently, in order to represent their localities with dignity.
He recalled that, previously, the anniversary of the province of Cuanza Sul (September 15) was marked, among other activities, with the holding of the International Festival of Music of Sumbe “FestiSumbe”, but, as of this year, it will be held in allusion to the anniversary of the municipality (May 28), which is why the Festi-Cuanza Sul was institutionalized.
