Africa-Press – Angola. Thirteen teams will take part from Friday, in the city of Cuito (Bié), in the Provincial Unified Judo Championship, a competition qualifying for the National Judo Championship.
The competition encompasses cadet, junior and senior categories, in both sexes, with athletes from the municipalities of Cuito, Andulo, Chinguar and Chitembo.
The event, which ends on Sunday, will be played on the elimination system, until the teams that will occupy the first, second and third positions in each category are found.
The Interclube do Bié team is the title champion.
At the opening, the director of the Provincial Office for Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, Afonso Belo Sanguvila, stressed that the championship will contribute to the project to revitalize the sport that the sector has carried out in recent years.
For the participants, he requested greater dedication and delivery, so that the winning categories come to represent the province of Bié with dignity in the national championship, which the province of Uíge will host next September.
