The information was provided by the director of the Provincial Infrastructure Office, Jorge Caliata, adding that, in this first phase, housing will benefit residents living on the slopes of the Incomum, Bumba, Kissala I, Assaca and Praia neighbourhoods.

According to the person in charge, the residences will be delivered as part of the project to requalify the city of Sumbe, and the process of registering the beneficiaries went smoothly.

“The registration of the populations that will be resettled has already been done and proceeded normally. Therefore, depending on the progress of the works, we are working, in partnership with the Municipal Administration of Sumbe, in the process of distributing the first residences”, he stressed.

With regard to the remaining works on Sumbe’s integrated infrastructures, the director informed that they were proceeding at a good pace, with the physical execution of the project at around 65 percent.
