Africa-Press – Angola. The national junior women’s handball team beat the similar team from Kenya, by an impressive 54-9 (group A), in the debut of the African Championship in the category, which began this Thursday, in Tunisia.

In a game that looked more like a training session, the Angolans showed all their favoritism, leading at half-time, 26-5.

Upon resumption, the Angolan women’s work was made easier, with the opposing goalkeeper being expelled for violent play.

The African champions scored a goal in each attack, and ended up winning 54-9, a historic result.

In the second round, Angola will play the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Mali and Egypt (runners-up) face each other in group B, while Guinea will face the Democratic Republic of Congo in A.

The host team will play Madagascar later in the day, in a group B match.

Angola has ten titles in the continental competition.
