Angola faces DRC on the second FIFA date

Africa-Press – Angola. The National Football Team faces DRC, on October 17th, in Lisbon (Portugal), for the second FIFA date.

This is the eighth time that the two teams have met between 2006 and 2020, with the Congolese winning five matches, with two goalless draws.

In the last match, in 2020, Angola lost at home, at the 11 de Novembro stadium, in Luanda, by 0-1, in a qualifying challenge for the African Cup of Nations, held in 2021, in Cameroon.

In the first game of this year’s FIFA date, held in Tehran, on the 12th, Angola lost to Iran, by a significant 0-4, in a game in which Angola was represented without most of its influential players.

Remember, the National Team qualified for the African Nations Championship to be held in January 2024, in Côte d’Ivoire.

To do so, they only needed a goalless draw against Madagascar. The match was played at the Tundavala stadium, in the province of Huíla (Angola).
