The motor, visual, hearing and wheelchair classes competed in the 100 to 5 thousand meter category, in addition to the specialties of javelin throwing, discus and long jump.
On the occasion, José Manuel, technical director of the Angolan Paralympic Committee, told that the event took place as expected, with an acceptable competitive level within the difficulties that athletes present due to the lack of their own places to train.
Even so, he said, however, that the limitations have not prevented the associations from carrying out their work, with regard to the massification and development of athletics.
For José Manuel, who also holds the position of national coach, the fact that 14 provinces are present demonstrates the commitment of those involved in this type of sport.
He said that the challenge of the next edition will be to bring together competitors from the country’s 18 provinces.
