Africa-Press – Angola. Thirty chess players, of which 18 are male and 12 female, will begin, on Wednesday, in Luanda, the “Taça Joice”, taking place at Shopping Avenida, Samba district, Morro Bento commune.
After being included in the Angolan Chess Federation calendar in 2017, the competition returns to the “boards” four years after the last edition, this time in a Swiss system, with 60 minutes and an additional 15 seconds for each move.
In the last edition, held in 2019, the International Master (MI), David Silva, in men, and the International Master (MI), Esperança Caxita, in women, were champions.
The champion and runner-up of the absolute national championship in men, namely, Amorim Agnelo (MI) and Josemar Cabingano and the Masters Fide (MF), Ednasia Júnior and Jemima Paulo are among the outstanding competitors.
The technical meeting takes place at 12 noon and two hours later (14) the opening day begins.
