Africa-Press – Angola. The Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança da Costa, travels, this Wednesday, to the province of Huambo, for a 48-hour working visit, as part of the privileged monitoring of the Education, Higher Education and Environment sectors .
According to a press release, the work agenda of the Vice-President of the Republic, in the central plateau, includes visits to the Center for Tropical Ecology and Climate Change (CETAC) and facilities at Higher Education institutions. .
Among these educational institutions, emphasis is placed on the José Eduardo dos Santos University (UJES), which brings together seven (7) organic units, including the faculties of Agricultural Sciences, Law, Economics, Medicine and Veterinary Medicine.
As part of the work agenda, the note also adds, the Vice-President of the Republic will travel to the municipality of Cachiungo, where she will visit strategic points of social and economic interest and will hold a meeting with a group of two hundred (200) women from of the 11 municipalities in the province of Huambo.
With a territorial extension of 35 thousand and 771 square kilometers and a population density above two million and 600 thousand inhabitants, the province of Huambo is located in the central region of the country and is administratively composed of 11 municipalities, 37 communes and three thousand 387 villages.
