Africa-Press – Angola. The president of UNITA, Adalberto Costa Júnior, reiterated this Wednesday (5), in Malanje, the need to transform the country’s natural resources into sustainable assets for the population, especially the most needy communities.

According to him, Angola and Malanje, in particular, have several water, agricultural and other resources, capable of improving the living conditions of the people, if they are boosted.

When speaking at the opening act of UNITA’s XI Parliamentary Conferences, the politician defended the relaunch of cotton production to reactivate the textile industry, which can make the country sustainable and generate development.

He pointed to the Kwanza River and the Capanda and Laúca dams as resources that would provide more energy to the province of Malanje and contribute to promoting the country’s development, and therefore appealed to the Executive to invest in this aspect.

“Malanje is very fertile in the agricultural sector, which is why the Executive must pay greater attention to the province, encouraging local businesspeople to invest in the areas of agriculture and industry for the production of various goods”, he stressed.

On the other hand, the leader of UNITA appealed to the party’s deputies to embrace strategies to rescue the country’s moral and cultural values, placing all their knowledge, intelligence and dedication at the service of Angolans and in building an Angola that moves forward. for a better future for all.

However, he highlighted that during the open days, the “Black Rooster” parliamentarians are called to support initiatives aimed at protecting the lives, defense and freedoms of citizens, to guarantee social justice.

He reiterated the municipalities as UNITA’s perspectives for the next parliamentary debates, in search of the consolidation of democracy and the return of sovereign power to the people.

In turn, the president of the UNITA Parliamentary Group, Liberty Chiaca, said that during the days the deputies will be equipped with political, scientific and technical knowledge to better carry out legislative action.

The parliamentary days will take place under the motto “UNITA Parliamentary Group, for democracy, citizenship and inclusive development”, and will serve to analyze the socio-economic and political situation of the province and democracy, citizenship and inclusive development of the country, as well as taking stock of the actions of the first parliamentary year of the fifth legislature.
