Africa-Press – Angola. The National Road (EN-250), on the Luau/Luacano/Cameia route, in the province of Moxico, will benefit from asphalt carpet over a period of three years, the project for which is valued at 183 billion, 490 million, 210 thousand kwanzas.
The act of consignment of this important road, part of the Lobito corridor, with a length of 156 kilometers, was witnessed by the Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos dos Santos, accompanied by the provincial governor, Ernesto Muangala, in the village of Cafungo, the 28 kilometers from the village of Luau.
The project, to be carried out by the civil construction company AFAVIAS, will have two transverse lanes, comprising 3.5 meters and two verges in each direction, totaling 11 meters wide, with supervision by the companies ANRGY and TATOP , LDA.
When speaking at the event, the Minister of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing, Carlos dos Santos, announced, soon, the start of construction of the 102-kilometer section between the city of Luena, Leua and Cameia, for the completion of this 247-km road. .50 kms, with a view to interconnecting the municipalities located along the Benguela Railway.
According to the leader, the main objective will be the interconnection of the province of Moxico with that of BieĢ, allowing the connection of the east of the country with the coast, for potential economic development of the country, by facilitating the flow of agricultural products.
For 2024, according to Carlos dos Santos, the construction of the Luzi-Cassamba-kangamba road is planned, in the municipality of Luchazes.
