Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan ambassador to South Africa, Rui Orlando Xavier, paid tribute this Saturday to the retired ambassador Hermínio Escórcio, who died in Johannesburg on September 29th, victim of illness, at the age of 87.
In the message of condolences addressed to the family, ambassador Rui Xavier highlighted Hermínio Escórcio’s contribution to Angolan diplomacy and encouraged the family suffering due to his death.
The event took place at Lanseria International Airport, on the outskirts of Johannesburg, from where the remains left for Luanda, after their cremation last Wednesday.
