Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan Executive will privatize, through a public tender, in the form of asset disposal, eight industrial units located in the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone – ZEE and four in the province of Cabinda.

According to Presidential Order No. 232/23, of October 2, published on the Government Portal, it is stated that the sale of assets is part of the Privatization Program – PROPRIV 2023-2026, taking into account the need for its completion.

According to the document, Inducamar – tire and inner tube manufacturing unit, Indumassas – pasta manufacturing unit, Indutubo – HDPE tube manufacturing unit, Mecametal – parts manufacturing unit and metallic structures and Pivangola – agricultural irrigation pivot manufacturing unit.

The list also includes Sidurex – steel rolling mill, ZUB II – concrete beam and panel manufacturing unit and the Catete silo complex – Agroindústria.

In the province of Cabinda, the Chimbodo Warehouse, the Cabinda Frio Complex – Fisheries, the Cerâmica do Sassa Zau and the Cabinda Wheat Flour Mill are up for privatization.

In the Presidential Order, the Minister of Finance is assigned powers, with the ability to sub-delegate, to carry out decision-making and supervisory approval acts, as well as to verify the validity and legality of all acts carried out within the scope of this procedure, including the conclusion and signing of contracts.
