Africa-Press – Angola. Global wholesale price inflation in September 2023 stood at 2.65%, according to the National Statistics Institute (INE).
According to INE data, imported products contributed the most with 1.97%, representing 74% and national products with 0.68%, which corresponds to 26% of the value of global inflation.
INE indicates that the inflation of national products, in September 2023, was 2.55%, with Section D – Manufacturing Industry, with 1.50%, being the one that contributed most to the variation in prices of national products.
The products that contributed most were soda with 0.70%, beer with 0.43 percentage points, wheat flour with 0.04%, beef and wine with 0.02%, frozen horse mackerel, soybean oil and milk powder with 0.01% each, among the main ones.
The Institute also points out that the inflation of imported products in September 2023 was 2.68%, where Section D – Manufacturing Industry, with 2.55%, was the one that contributed most to the variation in prices of imported products.
According to INE, the products that contributed most were cane sugar with 0.67%, pork with 0.44%, frozen chicken with 0.23%, needle white rice with 0.16%, olive oil soy with 0.11%, wheat flour with 0.10%.
The data also indicates that the year-on-year variation from September 2022 to 2023, of the Wholesale Price Index (IPG), is 19.55%, a decrease of 3.15% compared to that observed in the same period of the previous year. .
The data reinforces that the IPG registered a monthly variation, in the period from August to September 2023, of 2.65%, being 0.38 percentage points higher than that recorded in the previous period and 1.51% higher in relation to that recorded in the same period. month of the year 2022.
INE states that the accumulated variation of national products in September 2023 was 20.96%.
