Africa-Press – Angola. The President of the Republic, João Lourenço, arrived at the National Assembly a moment ago, to deliver the Message on the State of the Nation, on the occasion of the Solemn Opening Session of the Parliamentary Year 2023-2024 of the V Legislature.
The Head of State, who was accompanied by the First Lady of the Republic, Ana Dias Lourenço, arrived at the National Assembly at approximately 11 am and was received by the President of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira.
Before entering the room, João Lourenço passed through the honor guard.
Before the Angolan President’s Message to the Nation, the president of the National Assembly, Carolina Cerqueira, will deliver a welcome message to João Lourenço.
The solemn opening session of the 2023-2024 Parliamentary Year is attended by the Vice-President of the Republic, Esperança Costa, magistrates, deputies, assistants to the Holder of the Executive Power, diplomatic corps accredited in Angola, traditional authorities, among other guests.
