Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan citizens will, from now on, be able to travel to Kenya without the need for ordinary visas, Kenyan President William Ruto announced this Saturday in Nairobi, Kenya.
Speaking at a press conference, after the signing of 11 agreements to increase cooperation, within the framework of the visit of the President of Angola, João Lourenço, the Statesman said that Kenya unilaterally signed this agreement, aiming to increase trade exchanges.
He said that in the last four years trade has gone from 60 to 350 million dollars, but it is essential to promote the free movement of people, especially for businessmen.
In response, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, recognized that, within the framework of cooperation, it is necessary to bring people together, especially businesspeople and the issue of visas has been an obstacle.
Therefore, he thanked Kenya for the position taken and promised to do everything to ensure that there is reciprocity in this act, noting that, in a short time, the Angolan government will refine details to initial this agreement.
Angola and Kenya signed, this Saturday, 11 agreements to increase bilateral cooperation, in a ceremony led by the presidents of both countries.
These are agreements in the fields of health, maintenance and conservation of animal life, maritime transport, agriculture, tourism, geology and mines. oil, youth, diplomatic and capacity building in the field of public administration and information and communication technology.
