Human capital will dominate second edition of Angola Economic Outlook

Africa-Press – Angola. Human capital as a decisive factor for development will be the theme of the second edition of the Angola Economic Outlook (AEO), to be held on 8 November this year, at the Talatona Convention Center, in Luanda, announced the secretary of State for Economy, Ivan dos Santos.

According to the official, the event will allow the sharing of ideas, analysis of the country’s macroeconomic and financial scenarios, in addition to allowing a review of projections made in April this year, moving to the level of the real sector of the economy, public finances , monetary and exchange rates.

Ivan dos Santos recalled that the first edition was held in April, by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), in partnership with Revista Economia & Mercado, with institutional support from the Ministry of Finance, Banco Nacional de Angola (BNA) and the company Economic kwanza.

He explained that the first edition was held with the participation of public and private institutions, with themes relating to the national economy, with 200 participating entities.

“There is a need to move towards the second edition of the event, because we believe that it has become an ideal platform, with some importance for us to be able to present our macroeconomic data and to be able to open the opportunity for debate on the data presented”, he said.

The first edition of the Angola Economic Outlook (AEO) was promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning, in partnership with the magazine Economia & Mercado.

The event took place under the motto “From economic recovery to sustainable development”, and is an economic observation platform that aims to allow investors and other operators to anticipate their decisions based on the projected scenarios.
