Africa-Press – Angola. Angola, along with Western nations, is on the list of the largest importers of musical instruments, particularly percussion instruments, manufactured in the Industrial Pole of the city of Tianjim.

The information was passed on, in Tianjin, to the Secretary of the MPLA’s Political Bureau (BP) for International Relations, Manuel Augusto, by the vice-president of the Chinese city of Tianjin, Zhang Ling, during the audience given to the Angolan politician.

Manuel Augusto, who has been in Tianjin since early Tuesday afternoon (24), expressed his satisfaction, to the vice-president of the city, at the fact that he returned to it five years later, as the last time was as part of the visit of Angolan statesman João Lourenço.

The politician explained that his trip to that city aims to continue the contacts initiated during the visit to Angola by a delegation from the Communist Party of China (PCCh).

Tianjim, continued the secretary, has a great tradition in the training of man, the main element for the development of any country, so he hopes that cooperation will also follow in this direction, since the MPLA and the CCP have a lot of responsibility in their respective societies .

Vice-President Zhang Ling attested that the visit of the Angolan Head of State, João Lourenço, served to increase friendly and cooperative relations, ties that have lasted for more than six (6) decades.

In the economic field, he highlighted that trade between Angola and his city has already exceeded 315 million yuan (43 million USD), “It’s a record” said the person in charge.

Before leaving Beijing, the Chinese capital, where he arrived on Sunday (22), Manuel Augusto and the delegation he leads visited the headquarters of the company Beijing Construcion Engineering Group (BCEG), where he received information about projects executed and in progress around the world, taken to cable by this entity that has more than 200 thousand workers.

The city of Tianjin is the capital of the administrative region with the same name and is located at the confluence of the Hai He River and the Grand Canal, close to the Bohai Gulf.

It is the third largest city in the country, with an estimated population of around thirteen (13) million inhabitants.

It is a large industrial center, in areas such as textiles, machinery, electronic and chemical equipment.

Tianjin’s rapid growth occurred from 1860 onwards, with its entry into foreign trade driven by the dynamization of the Tanggu seaport, which is expected to receive, on Thursday, a visit from the MPLA delegation.
