Africa-Press – Angola. Retired judge Carlos Magalhães launched the book “Supplier Civil Responsibility, in the face of Angolan consumer protection law – Confrontation with Portuguese law, in an event held on Saturday, in Porto Amboim, Cuanza Sul province.
The central part of the book, with 638 pages and six chapters, highlights, among others, “the historical evolution of the consumer”, “consumer protection in Angolan law”, “general contractual clauses”, “producer civil liability regime” and “Civil liability of the civil code in the Angolan consumer protection law”.
Walter Sebastião, who presented the work, said that it is a scientific, dissertation and expository book, in which the author makes an incursion into the elements of consumption, consumer and supplier, as well as goods and services.
On the occasion, the author of the book urged each citizen to know and apply their rights.
Carlos Magalhães was born in the Lila neighborhood, in the city of Porto Amboim, on November 12, 1950.
He is a retired judge advisor to the Constitutional Court and an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law of the Agostinho Neto University and a professor at the Methodist University of Angola and the Instituto Superior Politécnico Internacional de Angola “(SIA).
