CPJ holds new extraordinary general meeting

Africa-Press – Angola. The Caixa de Previdência da Justiça (CPJ) will once again hold an extraordinary general meeting, on November 10th, at 9:00 am, aiming to amend and conform its Statutes and Regulations.

The octo of this mutualist association will take place at the Sapiens Institute, at 9:00 am, and follows the first one on October 13th, in which there was not enough quorum to approve the aforementioned documents, which are currently out of context.

According to a statement from CPJ, the meeting is the result of the association’s last electoral campaign, which took place on August 18 of this year and which resulted in the creation of new Social Bodies of the Justice Pension Fund.

“(…..) social development requires the adoption of new models of social protection in the face of the evolution of new concepts of complementarity, based on private initiatives”, highlights the note.

For this reason, he emphasizes, it was found that the CPJ statutes and regulations do not correspond to the new socio-economic reality of the country, as well as not being in conformity with the diplomas that govern mutualism.

Explains that, for the purposes set out in number 1 of article 61 of Presidential Decree no. 32/22 of 1 February on the Legal Regime Applicable to the Creation, Organization, Operation and Termination of Mutualist Associations, within the framework of Complementary Social Protection, CPJ invites its members to the session.

CPJ is a non-profit Mutualist Association, of which employees in this sector, judicial magistrates and the Public Prosecutor’s Office, as well as their respective staff in performance of duties, can be members, provided they register.

Retired citizens and workers from the association itself may also be members of it, according to the note signed by the president of the General Assembly, Joaquim de BritoTeixeira.

The purpose of the Justice Pension Fund is to promote solidarity between members and their families, as well as the granting of Social Security, health and social protection benefits, with a view to guaranteeing their quality of life.

It focuses on the organization and management of social support equipment and services and activities aimed especially at the moral, intellectual, cultural and physical development of members and their relatives.

Specifically, the actions of the Justice Pension Fund include protection against illness, maternity, disability, old age, subsidies to family members due to the death of a member, salary supplements, and the granting of credits for social actions
