Africa-Press – Angola. Angola has been participating since Tuesday, in the 26th edition of the international Conference on Arab-African Investment and Women’s Investors Union, taking place in Sharm El-Sheikh, Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Angolan mission to the meeting is led by the Angolan ambassador to Egypt, Nelson Manuel Cosme, on behalf of the First Lady, Ana Dias Lourenço.
Taking place under the motto “Youth, the core of sustainable development – challenges and opportunities”, the Conference is organized by the Union of Arab Women Investors – emanating from the Arab League’s Arab Economic Unity Council, in coordination with the Association of Women Entrepreneurs to the development.
It should be noted that the First Lady of Angola addressed a message to the president of the Union of Arab Women Investors, Hoda Galal Yassa, in which she highlights the relevance of the discussions scheduled for the Sharm El-Sheikh Conference.
Delivered by ambassador Nelson Manuel Cosme, the message also highlights the importance of the Union of Arab Women Investors, which plays a fundamental role in female empowerment and the economic development of its members.
The work program reserves a specific panel on Angola, during which ambassador Nelson Cosme will make a presentation on Egypt/Angola cooperation, and women’s empowerment in the different contexts of Angola, from political, economic, social and sports.
The event also features the participation of the honorary president of the Conference, the First Lady of Serbia, Tamara Vucic, and as guests the president of the Senate of Jordan, Faisal Akef Al-Fayez, and representatives of Zimbabwe, Belgium, Syria and Lithuania, among other individualities.
