Africa-Press – Angola. Petro de Luanda intends to climb the podium and take the Angola Cup trophy in gymnastics, after failing to participate in the National Championship. In the event scheduled for the 16th to the 19th of this year, in the Urban District of Funda Quilunda, in the municipality of Cacuaco, the oil group will be represented with a renewed team.
Coach Semba Miguel reveals the strategy of the oil companies, one of the best teams in the country.
“We are working on preparing the eighty percent renewed team. Most of the athletes come from the junior level and, to reinforce them, we will count on the help of some experienced ones such as Xavier Bernardo, Evaristo and Zulmira Zepala”, elucidated.
Semba Miguel ensured that there was motivation among the athletes eager for medals and the main trophy.
“As always, the gymnasts want to occupy the first places on the podium. Petro de Luanda has this motto; we always think about bringing the title in every competition”, he assured.
The Angola Cup competes in the disciplines of rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, artistic and aerobics in the male and female classes.
For the event, the presence of teams from Petro de Luanda, XLAC de Luanda, Petro do Huambo, 4 de Junho do Huambo, Sporting do Lubango, Núcleo do Bailundo, CSN do Namibe, Master Mário de Luanda and Núcleo Amizade Angola are confirmed. -Netherlands.
