Africa-Press – Angola. The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, reiterated, this Sunday, Egyptian solidarity with Angola, as part of the celebration of the 48th anniversary of National Independence.
In a congratulatory message to the Angolan head of state, João Lourenço, delivered by ambassador Mohamed Mokhtar to the Angolan diplomat Nelson Cosme, the Egyptian statesman highlights the quality of bilateral relations, through regular contacts, and the interest in strengthening them.
President El-Sisi emphasizes that, as part of strengthening relations between the two countries, he counts on Angola’s contribution to world peace, especially in the Arab region.
The Egyptian Head of State reiterates his willingness to continue cooperation, in the most different areas, reaffirming his availability for whatever Angola needs in its relationship with Egypt.
During the meeting, ambassador Mohamed Mokhtar invited Angola, as part of his availability, to observe the electoral process in Egypt, whose presidential elections are scheduled for the 10th, 11th and 12th of December this year.
Political-diplomatic cooperation relations between both countries were formalized on March 26, 1987, through the signing, in Luanda, of the General Agreement on Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
