Africa-Press – Angola. Cuban President, Miguel Díaz-Canel, congratulated President João Lourenço, on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of national independence.
“I send you my warmest congratulations, at the same time that I reaffirm my determination to continue strengthening the historic relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between our peoples and governments”, details a message from the Cuban head of state.
On the other hand, the Cuban Foreign Minister, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, also congratulated his Angolan counterpart, Téte António, on November 11th, the date of national independence.
“On the occasion of the national celebration of the Republic of Angola, I congratulate you and reiterate my desire to continue strengthening the historic relations of friendship, solidarity and cooperation that distinguish the ties between our two nations”, says the message.
Cuba and Angola currently maintain cooperative relations in several areas.
In addition to the more than 54 bilateral agreements existing between both nations, highlight is also the recent signing of 3 more important agreements, namely the Memorandum of Understanding in the field of Tourism, Medicines Regulation and Investment Promotion between the Special Economic Zones of Luanda-Bengo and Mariel.
