Africa-Press – Angola. Angola will participate, from Tuesday 21st, in Havana, Cuba, in the XXVIII International Congress of the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD).

The event, taking place from the 21st to the 24th of this month, in the Cuban capital, will promote the analysis and exchange of experiences and knowledge regarding State reform and the modernization of public administration.

It takes place annually and has become the most important meeting in Latin America to present experiences and research carried out on the reform of the State and Public Administration.

The congress will bring together ministers and secretaries of State responsible for the public policies in question, as well as parliamentarians, researchers and professors from universities and specialized institutions, consultants, public servants and trade unionists.

CLAD is an international organization of mandatory reference in the areas of its competence. In addition to the recognition it has achieved among Ibero-American governments, several international public organizations frequently request its collaboration.

Likewise, it develops research and institutional strengthening activities in conjunction with several government cooperation institutions and research and teaching institutions in Europe, the United States and Canada.

Institutionally, it participates in other international organizations and is the permanent technical secretariat for the Ibero-American conferences of ministers of Public Administration and State Reform that take place within the scope of the Ibero-American summits of heads of state and government.

The Angolan delegation will be led by the Minister of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security, Teresa Dias.

Angola has been a member of the organization since 2020. It is the only effective member from Africa. Equatorial Guinea is an observer member.
