Africa-Press – Angola. Seventeen agricultural projects valued at around 315 million Kwanzas were financed, this year, in the province of Bengo, by the Agrarian Development Support Fund (FADA).

This financing aimed to increase production and encourage the agricultural activity of peasant families, especially former combatants and veterans of the country.

Of this number of projects, 12 have already been disbursed in the amount of 219 million kwanzas, revealed in Caxito, the PCA of FADA, Felisbela Francisco, during a meeting she held with the governor of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba.

The provincial governor of Bengo, Maria Antónia Nelumba, informed that the provincial Agriculture and Fisheries office has been working on the legalization of cooperatives so that they can benefit from credit as quickly as possible.

He asked for the reinforcement of training and training of some cooperatives before granting credit, as well as support for municipal associations.

The province of Bengo has fertile land and any investment is always a gain, he highlighted.

In the region, FADA works with INAPEM, IDA and INEFOP in the organization, legalization and formation of cooperatives and associations, mostly linked to former combatants, so that they can have access to financing and boost productive activity.

The Agricultural Development Support Fund (FADA) is a financial institution that provides financing to peasant families and its main objective is to promote agricultural activity.
