Africa-Press – Angola. Athlete Hélder Manuel competes on Saturday in the final of the Amateur World Championship of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), which takes place at the Olympic arena in Tirana, Albania, against Talgat Zhiyenta Yev, from Kazakhstan.

The Angolan fighter, in the +120 kg category, qualified for this stage of the competition on Thursday, with a victory over the Italian, Gabriel Fosano.

According to a note from the Angolan embassy in Italy, which is also responsible for consular and diplomatic services in the Republic of Albania, this Friday, Junior Manuel obtained the silver medal, while Niklas Herlander received the bronze medal.

The Angola National Mixed Martial Arts Team participates in the Tirana World Cup with a delegation of 17 members including athletes, technical staff and federation officials.
