The coach of Sagrada Esperança da Lunda Norte, Roque Sapiri, said (Saturday), in Luanda, that his team was effective and achieved its objective of beating Sporting de Cabinda, 5-1, in a match on the 9th round of the National Football Championship (Girabola2023/24), played at the Estádio dos Coqueiros.
Speaking to the press at the end of the match, the coach acknowledged that despite this, he did not expect a massive result, which demonstrated the great commitment of his team, who knew how to counter the opponent’s intentions, especially in defense.
He added that, after an intense encounter with Zamalek from Egypt, which resulted in a goalless draw, his team did well in this challenge, which allowed them to score the first goal, in the 19th minute, without discouraging Sporting de Cabinda, who gave fight until the end.
In turn, the coach of Sporting de Cabinda, Abel Conceição, highlighted that despite the negative final result, his team did not do badly in the game, even scoring a goal against Sagrada, who is one of Girabola’s title candidates.
He explained that it was the story of the game, in which the opponent managed to score five goals, taking advantage of the opportunities they had, even if their players tried to contain the offensive actions of their opponents.
He pointed out the need to continue working, so that they can fight for positive results in the next rounds of the race.
