Africa-Press – Angola. The Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano, assessed the Executive’s possible support measures for the Angola Agro-Livestock Association (AAPA) and the prospects for the 2024/2025 agricultural campaign.
The minister chaired a meeting on Friday, in Luanda, between the economic team of the Economic Commission of the Council of Ministers and AAPA, which assessed the main concerns of this association
According to the statement from the meeting, this Saturday, the economic team made the necessary clarifications and accepted the suggestions presented by AAPA.
Additionally, the 2024/2025 agricultural campaign calendar, the financing lines and guarantees provided for in the General State Budget for 2024 were presented.
The parties expressed their commitment to continue working, in a coordinated manner, to ensure that the 2024/2025 agricultural campaign is a success.
Promoting the production of food products for widespread consumption, aiming to achieve food self-sufficiency, promoting exports and the manufacturing industry, is a priority for the Angolan Executive.
AAPA presented topics linked to the PLANAGRÃO implementation process, the preparation of the 2024/2025 agricultural year, the implementation of agricultural policy instruments, land management in rural areas and the debts of the Strategic Food Reserve with product supplying companies.
