Africa-Press – Angola. The delegate of the General Inspectorate of State Administration (IGAE) in Cuando Cubango, António Francisco Jaime, encouraged, this Tuesday, citizens to have a culture of reporting corrupt practices in all public bodies.

The person in charge, who was speaking to the press, at the end of a visit to the bodies supervised by the local Delegation of Justice and Human Rights, said that complaints can be made through the Call Center created for this purpose, in 2023, with free calls from 8 am to 5 pm on weekdays.

António Francisco Jaime lamented the lack of culture among the population of Cuando Cubango to denounce acts of mismanagement, including even the injured parties themselves, who should be the first to inform about irregularities in the Public Administration, so that the managers and employees involved are held accountable.

According to the person responsible, this fight aims, above all, to put an end to the “gasa” phenomenon in public institutions and improve the levels of service provided by public servants to users, in addition to ensuring the fight against mismanagement of funds in public administration.

Regarding the visit, he explained that it served to verify the levels of functioning and organization of the Delegation of Justice and Human Rights, as well as ensuring the uniformity and standardization of services provided to citizens.

To this end, António Francisco Jaime found out about the Identification, Registry and Notary services, the Civil and Criminal Identification archive and the Civil Registry Office, having requested, from the supervisory bodies, the improvement of working conditions, as the employees showed a willingness of work.

In turn, the provincial delegate for Justice and Human Rights, Alfredo Passos, said that, despite numerous difficulties, particularly the lack of proper facilities, transport and technical equipment, more than 100 Identity Cards are issued daily.

He recalled that the issuance of the Identity Card in the online system only works in the municipalities of Menongue, Cuchi, Cuito Cuanavale, Mavinga and Calai, while in the municipalities of Dirico, Nancova and Rivungo, it is still issued in the offline system..

The visit by members of the IGAE provincial delegation is part of the celebration of the institution’s 32nd anniversary, which takes place on Wednesday (17th), with the Traffic Operational Units and the Rapid Intervention Police (PIR) having already been covered, whose The activity agenda ends on the 22nd of the current month.

IGAE is an auxiliary body of the President of the Republic and Holder of the Executive Power with the mission of carrying out the internal administrative control of the Public Administration, through inspection, monitoring, auditing and supervision of the activity of all bodies and services of the direct administration and indirectly from the State, as well as from autonomous administrations.
