Africa-Press – Angola. The fight against hunger and poverty in communities in the municipality of Buco-Zau, approximately 120 kilometers north of Cabinda, will be one of the priorities of the local administration for the year 2024, informed its administrator, Óscar Dilo.

The official spoke at the social consultation and consultation council that approved, on Tuesday, the action plan for the Integrated Program for Local Development and Combating Poverty (PIDLCP).

The meeting approved 31 actions, in the areas of agriculture, technical-professional training, primary health care, improving water supply and energy distribution, sanitation, citizenship, rural infrastructure and social equipment and school meals.

Administrator Óscar Dilo recalled the Executive’s commitment to intensifying actions aimed at combating hunger and poverty among populations, especially in rural areas.

The meeting was attended by members of the municipal administration, defense and security bodies, representatives of political parties, religious and traditional entities, among others.

The municipality of Buco-Zau is made up of the municipalities of Necuto and Nhunca and has an estimated population of more than 40 thousand inhabitants.
