Africa-Press – Angola. The Angolan football team faces, on Saturday, at 5 pm, at the Peace Stadium, in Bouaké, the similar one from Namibia, in the round of 16 of the African Cup of Nations (CAN’ 2023), which takes place in Côte d’Ivoire.
The National Team (Palancas Negras) occupies the first position in Group D, while the Namibians were in third place in series E.
After a draw in the debut against Algeria, Angola confirmed its potential by beating Burkina Faso, 2-0, in the last round of the group stage, when Mauritania surprised Algeria, with a 1-0 victory.
After Tuesday’s victory, in Yamoussoukro, which earned them first place in the group, the Angolan players carried out, this Wednesday (24 January), only physical recovery training, with an ice bath, swimming pool and stretching.
This Thursday (25 January), the national team leaves the city of Yamoussoukro and returns to Bouaké, for the outline of Saturday’s game (27) referring to the round of 16.
