The project’s mentor, Angolan writer Nituecheni Africano, said that the competition had the participation of two thousand and 54 CPLP writers, of which 789 were competitors, between 18 and 35 years of age, who had never had the opportunity to launch a book physicist.

He said it was an incentive to literary production, to reinforce literature in the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).

Nituecheni Africano assured that he is working on the second edition of the award, which should take place in October this year, to enable the participation of talents who have never had the privilege of publishing books in the national and international literary market.

The award’s best-selling writer, Henrique Pefico, 23 years old, born in the province of Huambo, said it was a trophy won with a lot of struggle and dedication, taking into account the 789 participants from different CPLP countries.

He asked that more national and international organizations invest in the talents of young writers, to enhance world culture, which needs diverse support, taking into account the difficulties that the market faces.

The CPLP includes countries such as Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe and Timor-Leste.
