Ismael Farinha launches book "Prelúdio: Dito interdito"

Africa-Press – Angola. The book entitled “Prelúdio: Dito interdito”, by the Angolan poet Ismael Farinha, will be launched, on Tuesday, at the Luanda Media Library, under the seal of the publisher Azul.

The literary work, composed of 40 poems, presents an unknown sequence of verses capable of confronting technical originality.

According to a publication by the publisher, the writing shows the knowledge of its creator’s vast linguistic culture and uses a very strong expression of love, different from the common one.

“The author delves into the complexity of his soul to lay bare his poetic sensitivity and bring out the texts that had long been hidden in his most tender literary creativity”, he highlights.

The writer considers the work a beginning of several stages and highlights the importance of going through different phases in the search for knowledge.

“My writing is focused on the Angolan and global reality, depending on general events, including love, racism, injustice and religion. The target audience is youth”, he explained in an interview with Jornal de Angola.

Ismael Farinha was born on August 27, 1981, in the municipality of Cazenga, in Luanda. In addition to being a poet, he is an accountant, cultural activist and member of the Associação e Editora Chá de Caxinde.

He is also a member of the Angolan Copyright Society (SADIA) and mentor of the poetic anthology Geração Poema, in which names such as Lopito Feijó, Amélia da Lomba and José Luís Mendonça participate.
