Africa-Press – Angola. The IV Ordinary Meeting of the UNITA Provincial Committee, held last weekend, recommended to the Malanje provincial government to improve the supply of drinking water and electricity in communities.

According to the final communiqué of the meeting, distributed this Monday (18), the recommendations also include improving the provision of health and education services, aiming to guarantee better living conditions for the population.

The appeal arises due to the need to overcome the difficulties that many residents still face regarding benefits and assistance in these areas, in the province, especially in communities.

The document also states that the meeting encouraged the country’s deputies to debate, with a patriotic spirit, all matters brought to the National Assembly, aimed at satisfying the needs of the population and the implementation of local authorities.

On the other hand, the session praised the holding of the 1st Annual Conference of Bishops of the Episcopal Conference of Angola and São Tomé (CEAST), held this month in Malanje and which aimed, among other aspects, to analyze the socio-economic situation and pray for favor of the population.

Held under the motto “National Mobilization for Local Authorities”, the meeting aimed to reflect on the province’s social problems, the functioning of the party’s base structures, among other issues and was attended by 157 delegates from the 14 municipalities of Malanje.
