Africa-Press – Angola. The city of Cabinda and peripheral areas will benefit, in the next 48 hours, from unrestricted drinking water, following the completion, this Monday, of the work to replace the water mains.
The information was provided by the vice-governor for the technical area and infrastructures, Agostinho da Silva, at the end of a field day of observation, having considered the level of execution of the works to seal the ravine and repair the pipeline to be satisfactory. water on the Chinga and Chiazi route, damaged by the rains.
According to Agostinho da Silva, during this period, the supply of drinking water to residents suffered restrictions, due to shortages in the Tchizo and Simindele reservoirs.
“The work is already in the conclusive phase and in the next few hours, we will start sending water to the Tchizo and Simindele reservoirs, for home distribution”, he added.
He asked for greater understanding from residents, guaranteeing the commitment of local authorities to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
During the field trip, the deputy governor noted the advanced state of another ravine in the vicinity of the Sassa Zau Water Treatment Plant reservoir.
