Africa-Press – Angola. The national coordinator for controlling conferences in the southern region of the PRS country, Narciso Lungossa, recognized, this Tuesday, the performance of the Government of the province of Huambo in promoting dialogue, for the joint resolution of the population’s problems.

The supporter, who was speaking at the V Ordinary Conference of the provincial Committee of the Social Renewal Party (PRS) in Huambo, praised the work of governor Lotti Nolika focused on promoting the well-being of the population and permanent dialogue with political forces, aiming to promotion of social and economic development.

Therefore, Narciso Lungossa, who also highlighted the National Police’s commitment to guaranteeing public security and order, asked the activists to give a round of applause for the governor of Huambo province, Lotti Nolika.

In his intervention, he said that the PRS will prepare activists in matters about local authorities, so that, in the event of their institutionalization, they will be able to respond to the population’s demands.

He instructed the activists to be proactive and dynamic in the recruitment process to strengthen the party in the province of Huambo and in the country in general.

In turn, the secretary of the PRS in the province of Huambo, re-elected for another five-year term, António Soliya Solende, highlighted the need to invest in the party’s credibility, to better contribute to solving the population’s problems.

Re-elected with 122 votes in favor, eight blank and three invalid, in a total of 133 delegates representing the 11 municipalities, he requested greater unity and cohesion among the militants, focusing on the acceptance of the party in the communities.

He promised to work with the Government of the province of Huambo to resolve problems that afflict the population in various aspects and, at the same time, make the PRS stronger, more active, a defender of social causes and to be intransigent whenever the interests of citizens are at stake.

António Soliya Selende also defined the construction and rehabilitation of municipal headquarters as a priority, in addition to recruiting new activists.

The PRS (Social Renewal Party) is a political party in Angola, with representation in the National Assembly, founded in 1990.

In the last general elections, held on August 24, 2022, won by the MPLA, it obtained, at the level of the Huambo province constituency, four thousand, 704 votes, equivalent to 0.86 percent, out of a total of 561,326 voters who turned out to the polls to exercise the right of citizenship.
