Africa-Press – Angola. The ambassadors of Angola and Gambia, accredited in South Africa, respectively, Rui Xavier and Fatoumata Ceesay, met this Wednesday, in Pretoria, with a view to deepening bilateral relations.
According to a press release, the two diplomats reviewed cooperation between Angola and Gambia, with ambassador Rui Xavier highlighting the need to strengthen the existing relationship.
For her part, in the message she wrote in the Angolan Embassy’s honor book, diplomat Fatoumata Ceesay expressed her interest in extending cooperation in the most varied areas and cooperating to boost the development of the African continent.
The Gambia is a small country in West Africa that surrounds the lower course of the river of the same name, with a small extension on the Atlantic coast to the west, and an extensive border with Senegal.
The two countries maintain an acceptable level of cooperation, with emphasis on the oil and gas area.
