Africa-Press – Angola. The various structural works underway in the province of Cabinda demonstrate the government’s dedication to continuing to honor the ideals and efforts of those who fought for independence, peace and reconciliation in the country, said governor Mara Quiosa.
When speaking at the provincial event on the 23rd of March, the Liberation Day of Southern Africa, Mara Quiosa said that for this purpose, several social and economic works are underway in the province, giving as an example the Caio Deep Water Terminal, Refinery, Airport Cabinda International, as well as the rehabilitation of the road that connects the village of Yabi, Mbaca to Alto Sundi, on a 295 kilometer route, the latter project in the pipeline.
He recognized that the battle of Cuito Cuanavale had a great influence on the process that culminated in the achievement of peace, reconciliation and reconstruction of the country.
“Encouraged by the mission of serving communities, we take advantage of this date to reiterate our commitment to continue putting into practice the ideas of the liberators of Southern Africa, for the desired development”, he highlighted.
He called for the unity of all Angolans to build a future of peace, prosperity and solidarity.
