Africa-Press – Angola. The first provincial secretary of JMPLA, Marcelino dos Santos, called this Sunday, in Mukulongodjo, municipality of Cuvelai, for unity among the members of the organization to overcome the challenges linked to the general and local elections in the country.
When speaking at a political event, which marked the end of the organization’s political and patriotic journey that took place from the 22nd to the 24th of this month in Cuvelai, the youth leader considered it essential that the organization’s members invest in strengthening the structures of the party and its leader, taking into account upcoming challenges.
“We find ourselves experiencing challenging political contexts and there is a need in moments like these, we must reinvent ourselves to face the future challenges that will be the local elections, where the MPLA is expected to win in large part and the general elections that will take place in 2027”, he said.
To this end, he urged the organization’s members, friends and supporters to work hard and be committed to the party.
For his part, the MPLA’s first secretary in Cuvelai, Germano Nambalo, considered the day positive, which allowed the secretary to be closer and interact with the grassroots.
He highlighted that the party’s youth has shown itself, throughout its existence, to be increasingly solid, cohesive, with a great capacity for creativity and innovation, always seeking mechanisms and methods for greater organization, for the defense of the ideals of the MPLA and the your leader.
On the other hand, Germano Nambalo highlighted the importance of structural projects, dams and canals, to combat drought in the final phase of implementation in the province, which will guarantee the supply of water to the population, livestock and the practice of agriculture.
With more than 300 activists from the municipalities of Cuanhama, Ombadja, Namacunde, JMPLA’s party day in Cuvelai was marked by a visit to social projects underway in the district, a militant bonfire, a work meeting with members of the organization and the broken.
With a population of 57,398 inhabitants, the municipality of Cuvelai is administratively divided into the municipalities of Mukolongodjo, Cubati, Mupa and Calonga.
