Africa-Press – Angola. The republics of Angola and Vietnam began this Tuesday (26), in Luanda, the technical meeting to prepare for the VII Session of the Bilateral Cooperation Commission, during which they began to outline guidelines for the resumption of relations in the political-diplomatic, economic, business and other domains.

According to a note, at the opening the director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Sardinha Dias, said that the holding of this VII Bilateral Angola-Vietnam Cooperation Meeting, whose ministerial session will take place on Thursday- fair (28), demonstrates once again that political-diplomatic relations are quite solid.

Likewise, according to ambassador Carlos Sardinha Dias, they also serve as a platform for expressing interest by the parties in working together, exchanging experiences, sharing challenges and knowledge, in order to encourage commercial exchanges between small and medium-sized companies.

The director added that such actions could contribute to increasing the volume of business between the two countries, which are still very incipient.

In his opening speech, on this first day of technical work, Carlos Sardinha launched a special invitation to business groups in Vietnam to look at the Angolan market as a sea full of opportunities to do business and create jobs.

Speaking as its co-president, the Mirex representative said that the Angolan State’s institutional support for the Vietnamese business class will be guaranteed, as the holding of this meeting serves to refine the foundations towards the revitalization and dynamization of relations of cooperation between the two States.

At this VII Bilateral Cooperation Meeting, technical groups from Angola and Vietnam are analyzing and debating four most important sectors of the Angolan economy and of greatest interest to Investors, namely: Agriculture, Tourism, Logistics Infrastructures, Telecommunications, Technologies Information and Communication, Finance and Banking.

During the discussions, the parties concluded that there are several attractive scenarios that the Angolan market offers to foreign investors, as a result of the policies carried out by the Angolan Executive, therefore, this meeting serves to reinforce the appeal to the Vietnamese business class, with the aim of to evaluate and explore the market, create synergies with national businesspeople, evaluate comparative advantages and transform challenges into opportunities to boost the economies of both countries.

The technical meeting of the VII Angola-Vietnam Bilateral Cooperation Meeting was co-chaired, on the Vietnamese side, by the director of International Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam, Pham Quang Hung.

According to the program of this event, it is expected that at the end the parties will be able to sign eight legal instruments in areas already identified.

In addition to the aforementioned instruments, the action plan also includes the implementation of the programs and commitments to be signed and the creation of the Angola-Vietnam Chamber of Commerce.
