Africa-Press – Angola. Various infrastructures, including residences, public and private institutions, among others, are being painted in the municipal headquarters of Kiwaba Nzoji and the communal headquarters of Mufuma, as part of the Cement and Paint project.

The project, which only covers the facades of the buildings and is scheduled to end next April, is carried out by the company Osmende Limitada and aims to improve the image of the towns.

The information was given to ANGOP today, by the municipal administrator of Kiwaba Nzoji, José Neves, highlighting that the project is budgeted at 10 million kwanzas, financed within the scope of Development Support Expenses (DAD).

He stated that in the first phase, 18 residences, three public institutions and four private buildings were painted and a taxi rank was built.

He said that in addition to painting, the initiative also covers the construction of sidewalks and curbs, as well as the rehabilitation of walls and the restoration of establishments in poor condition.

The improvement of the Municipal garden and public lighting and the placement of traffic signs are also other actions included in the aforementioned project, the execution of which, according to the administrator, provided temporary jobs for some young people in the region.

Consisting of 11 districts and 119 villages, the municipality of Kiwaba Nzoji comprises only one commune (Mufuma) and has a predominantly peasant population estimated at 17 thousand inhabitants.
