Africa-Press – Angola. The Attorney General of the Republic, Hélder Pitta Gróz, held a working meeting, this Tuesday, in Abhu Dhabi, with the Minister of Justice of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Abdullah bin Sultan Al Nuaimi, within the scope of cooperation between the two institutions.
According to a note from the PGR, the interlocutors reviewed issues linked to strengthening existing cooperation relations, having presented the best solutions for their normal fluidity, as central authorities for international cooperation in criminal matters in their respective countries.
Prospects for aligning and coordinating cooperation in criminal matters were also discussed, based on the continuous need to satisfy requests for mutual legal assistance, within the legal framework of the parties and direct contact between those responsible for cooperation, without prejudice to the need to conclude agreements a cooperation protocol to guide action between the two States.
The document states that the meeting resulted in viable solutions for strengthening cooperation.
It indicates, on the other hand, that the Attorney General of the Republic took advantage of the occasion to formulate an invitation to the Minister of Justice of the United Arab Emirates to participate in the opening act of the festivities in reference to the 45th anniversary of the PGR, to mark the April 27th, which was accepted.
“Cooperation between the Attorney General of the Republic of our country and the Emirati authorities once again shows positive signs with the meeting held (02), in Abhu Dhabi, between the Attorney General of the Republic of Angola, Hélder Fernando Pitta Gróz and the Minister of Justice of the United Arab Emirates, Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, at the headquarters of that ministry”, reads the note sent this Wednesday.
