Africa-Press – Angola. The rehabilitation, construction of roads, schools and health units, among the privileged gains of 22 years of peace, in the province of Lunda-Sul, said Wednesday, in Saurimo, the reverend of the Pentecostal Assembly of God church, Manuel Chilima.
As part of the celebrations of 22 years of peace, to be celebrated on the 4th of the current month, he reiterated that the Executive during this period made a big investment in these sectors, which allowed for greater circulation of people and goods, greater inclusion of children in the education system and improved quality of patient care.
Likewise, the extension of electricity to communities and the rehabilitation of the EN/230, which connects Luanda/Malanje/East of the country, were other gains.
In addition to these infrastructures, he highlighted national reconciliation and well-being among Angolans as immeasurable gains, which is why he appealed to the population to celebrate the date with joy, as it marks one of the best stages in the country.
Asked about the church’s contribution to this process of national reconciliation, Manuel Chilima stated that jelas “play a preponderant role in the moralization of society, patriotic education, love for others and in calling on the faithful to respect national symbols, entities and protection of property public”.
On the other hand, Manuel Chilima said that, in 22 years of peace, the church did a lot of work to pacify spirits, improve working conditions in the municipalities, among other actions.
This year, in the month of May, he planned to lay the groundwork for the construction of a school with 20 classrooms, to train technicians in theology and beyond.
On the other hand, he lamented the proliferation of religious sects in the region, which must be monitored very seriously by the Government, as some distort the essence of the word and lead believers astray due to beliefs about unrealizable dreams.
The Pentecostal Assembly of God church has more than 10 thousand believers, distributed across the four municipalities of Lunda-Sul.
Peace in Angola was achieved on April 4, 2002.
