Africa-Press – Angola. The vice-governor of Huíla for the Political, Social and Economic sector, Maria João Chipalavela, urged today, Thursday, in the municipality of Matala, Angolans to preserve peace with forgiveness and work, so that social justice be effective for everyone.
The official who was speaking at the provincial event for Peace and National Reconciliation Day, marked today, invited everyone to care for peace, to believe and work more with unity, so that Angola can grow.
He highlighted that although the word Peace has only three letters, “it has a grandeur in its meaning and in the expression of the experience”, embodied in the pacification of spirits, the reconstruction of hope and trust among Angolans, within the scope of national reconciliation.
“With peace we gain social and economic infrastructures, but with peace we also gain our dignity and our citizenship. Let us love life and sing peace. May he always be with us,” he said.
Maria João Chipalavela highlighted that peace is one of the greatest achievements of the Angolan people, which is why tribute is paid to all those who gave their lives so that today they could celebrate this “great victory”.
Peace Day is being celebrated under the motto “Together for the inclusive growth of our country”.
Participating in the provincial celebration of the date, which preceded a service in favor of peace, were religious, military, police, judicial, political entities, traditional authorities, among others.
