Africa-Press – Angola. The second secretary of the MPLA Provincial Committee in Uíge, Gertrudes Gastão, considered, this Saturday, the party’s bases as the starting point of all political action, as they are where the victories of this political formation are built.
The person in charge defended this position at the opening of the review and renewal of mandate assemblies of the party’s action committees and the review conferences of the communal committees, which takes place under the motto “Dynalize the party structures for a better insertion of the MPLA in society”.
He said that, for the MPLA, the base is a fundamental instrument for creating intermediate bodies and organizations, justifying it as a structure that makes the party function.
He also defended the need to strengthen internal life and democracy within the party.
He clarified that the meeting will allow the materialization of the party’s actions and guidelines, namely confirming the number of existing members, balancing and projecting the party’s activities in the face of future political challenges.
He also highlighted the need to pay greater attention to the party’s organization at various levels.
In turn, the first secretary of the MPLA Municipal Committee in Uíge, José Raimundo Teca, reaffirmed the party’s commitment at the level of the host municipality to work on improving the organization and revitalizing the party’s structures.
The opening act was attended by the first and second municipal secretaries, resident members of the political bureau, cadres and leaders of the MPLA Provincial Committee.
