Africa-Press – Angola. The deputy governor of Cabinda for the Political and Social sector, Miguel de Oliveira, called for greater involvement of youth organizations in the awareness campaign about the general population and housing census.
The person in charge spoke at the start of the Abril Jovem 2024 journey, a ceremony held on Friday, in the amphitheater of the Instituto Superior Politécnico of the 11 de Novembro University, in Cabinda.
Miguel dos Santos Oliveira encouraged organizations to meet residents, especially those who live in remote areas, to talk about the importance of the census.
For Miguel de Oliveira, the awareness campaign will be essential to increase the knowledge of all citizens.
Regarding the day, the vice-governor considered it a privileged moment to celebrate and exalt the nation’s highest values.
He also asked them to take advantage of the journey to deepen their reflection on youth, their challenges, aspirations and role as the main segment of the population.
To this end, he recommended young people to continue promoting the recovery of patriotic, moral and civic values, as well as the culture of peace.
Angolan Youth Day is celebrated on April 14th. The day takes place under the motto “Empowered Youth, Developed Angola”.
The General Population and Housing Census, Census 2024, will take place on July 19th of next year, a work that is being carried out by the Multisectoral Commission to Support the Conducting of the Census, approved through Presidential Order no 290/22, of 30 from December.
