Africa-Press – Angola. Angolan deputies participate, this Wednesday, in Oslo, Republic of Norway, in the 30th International Conference of Parliamentarians on the Implementation of the Action Program for Population Development (CIPD).
At the conference, organized by the Norwegian Multi-Party Parliamentary Group for Sexual and Reproductive Rights and the European Parliamentary Forum for Human Rights, Angola is represented by a delegation made up of deputies Luísa Damião and João Bernardo Kanda.
During the work sessions, parliamentarians will address the protection of democracy and human rights, youth leadership and participation, sexual and reproductive health and human rights of young people and adolescents, as well as the holding of the plenary session on the Adoption of the Oslo Declaration of Commitment.
The initiative aims to promote dialogue between parliamentarians from all regions on the implementation of the ICPD action program and sustainable development objectives, with a view to achieving greater commitment to collective action in the areas of resource mobilization and creating a political environment favorable to health, sexual and reproductive rights.
